Our objectives

Influence the future shape of CBE education and promote diversity, equality and inclusion.
Promote the delivery of CBE education, training, up-skilling, re-skilling including work experience opportunities and work related education supported by employers and the professions.
Maintain and develop education standards capable of supporting qualifications suitable for all learners.
Promote our education standards and raise awareness of our work.

Our committees

To support our work we have established an Advisory Committee that is chaired by Bruce Boughton, People Development Manager, Lovell. In March 2017 the Advisory Committee amalgamated with E4BE and is now known as the CBE Education Advisory Committee.This committee includes representation from a wide range of stakeholders who are committed to supporting CBE education. The committee includes employers, professional bodies, awarding organisations, providers and other partners. The committee meets three times annually and its main sponsors are ICE and CIOB. Dates for meetings in 2024 are: 9 April; 16 July and 10 December.

The work of the Advisory Committee is supported by two groups: the 14 to 19 Education Group and ; the Higher Education Group. The 14 to 19 Education Group is chaired by Mark Andrews, Deputy Executive Principal – Strategy and Development, Principal – NKC Gravesend. The Higher Education Group is convened by Professor Sam Allwinkle, Edinburgh Napier University and CIAT.
